Contract Midweight Interior Designer (Hospitality) - Vectorworks

We are currently recruiting for a creative Mid-Senior Interior Designer on a fixed term contract basis, to join a London-based studio specialising in high-end marine interior design. The role will involve working closely with clients, suppliers and project teams to develop and deliver exceptional interior design solutions.
 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to lead projects from concept through to completion. You will be confident developing creative concepts, layouts and detailed design packages, with a strong understanding of colour, texture, materials and FF&E. Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a strong eye for detail. Experience working on hospitality, cruise ship and/or retail projects is essential.
 
You should be highly proficient in 2D and 3D CAD, Photoshop and SketchUp, with Vectorworks experience being advantageous. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required. The ability to manage deadlines, coordinate multiple tasks and work effectively both independently and as part of a team is key.
 
Responsibilities will include developing and presenting design concepts, producing detailed 2D and 3D design information, selecting materials and finishes, preparing visualisation packages and managing the creative process through to completed CGI. You will be expected to communicate design intent clearly and maintain a consistently high standard throughout each project.
